Volunteering Holiday in South Africa and Lesotho

Ken Dunn, who runs the charity Africa’s Gift, and who has organised two very successful trips to Africa for U3A members, is offering to take another group in 2016.  Although these are not official U3A trips, the members are predominantly, if not totally, drawn from U3As in our region.  Ken uses a reputable tour company based in the UK and Capetown.

The last trip included three nights in Capetown with a full tourist itinerary, 11 nights in Lesotho based at Malealea Lodge (undertaking a variety of volunteering activities chosen according to the preferences of the individual volunteer) and three nights at a wild-life reserve north of Pretoria.  However each trip is customised to the wishes of the members and days can be added or parts omitted by arrangement with Ken.

Anyone who is interested  should contact Ken,  at  For more information about previous trips contact Shelagh Woolliscroft of Sheffield U3A on 01246 768212
